Custom Pieces

Bates Woodworking offers customers the chance at one-of-a-kind pieces - even the "standard" items will offer character and distinction through each piece of lumber selected. If you see something you like, but prefer a different wood or specific dimensions, it can be made for you. If you like a design you've seen in a catalogue or on the Internet, send us a picture and we'll give you a quote.

Because orders may require additional resources not on hand (ordering lumber or hardware), all orders require a non-refundable 50% deposit at the time of order. This is to ensure that valuable time and resources will not be wasted creating an item to an individual's specifications, only to have them change their mind. As a small operation, we do not have the ability to absorb the costs involved in this situation. Rest assured though, that the product will not be fully paid for until you are fully pleased.
